incremental dividend

Definition

Used as a method of maintaining the interest of investors, this is a series of regular increases to a company's dividend. This typically shows the ability of the underlying company to regularly increase the value to their investor shareholders. There could potentially be a negative effect if a company that is known for increasing its dividend suddenly does not do so.
