Definition

An indicator used by traders to predict the short-term direction of the stock market. The market thrust indicator uses four variables: advancing issues, advancing volume, declining issues, and declining volume. A rising market thrust indicator is a bullish sign. A falling market thrust indicator is a bearish sign.
