multinational netting
Definition
A way for multinational corporations to eliminate offsetting cash flow from their balance sheet. For example, a company owes a bank 70 million dollars, but the bank owes the multinational corporation 40 million dollars from another deal. Multinational netting allows the corporation to record a debt of 30 million dollars to the bank.
