Mexican Stock Exchange
Definition
The sole operating securities market in Mexico, called "la Bolsa Mexicana de Valores" (BMV) in Spanish. This exchange is located in Mexico City, and hosts trading in government bonds, corporate bonds, derivatives, stocks, and debentures. The exchange adopted the current name in 1975, having been founded in 1886 as the Mexican Mercantile exchange.
