note notice

A notice that a financial institution sends to note holders advising them that their securities have expired. The notice states the amount and due date. There is no specific requirement for a number of days in advance to send out the notice, but average practice indicates that notices are sent at least 10 days before the due date.

notes are usually automatically renewed for the same period as the initial investment and at the current interest rate.
