Russell Midcap Index
Definition
An index that evaluates the performance of the 800 companies, subset of the Russell 1000 index. The goal of the Russell Midcap Index is to provide an impartial assessment of the mid-cap ventures. The index is reviewed yearly to ensure that the companies are still within the set-up parameters to ensure accurate assessment of the midcap sectors.
