Definition
A professional designation issued by the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts (IDFA) that certifies expertise in financial issues associated with a divorce. The analyst must accumulate real-world experience as well as pass an exam administered by the IDFA. The CDFA acts as an advisor for one party's legal counsel or as an arbitrator between both parties.
