Definition

A stock index composing of 150 companies from around the world. The companies are chosen by an Averages Committee which comprises the Managing Editor of The Wall Street Journal, the head of the Dow Jones Indexes research and the heat of CME Group research. The index includes companies from both developed and developing economies.
