zone of support
Definition
The area near the bottom of a trading range in the price movement of a security or market where the supply and demand are equally balanced and the price begins to retrace back to its highs or its zone of resistance until a selling climax is reached. When the support level is reached on higher volume it is an indication that a higher support level is developing.
