actual deferred percentage test (ADP test)
Definition
A test used to determine whether salary deferral contributions to a SARSEP or 401K plan discriminate in favor of highly compensated employees. If a plan fails the test, administrators have a limited period of time to make corrections. If they do not, the plan is considered "disqualified."
