must be filled (MBF)

Definition

A type of financial trade that is exempt from short sale rules and is required to be executed because of the options or futures contracts that are expiring soon on those particular exchanges. Typically these orders will be filled on the third Friday of each month. This is because in most cases index options will be expiring on that day.
