Ordinary Disability


A retirement plan or insurance policy classification used to determine if benefits will be paid. Under most plans, an ordinary disability is defined as a physical condition that permanently and completely prevents a participant from performing a range of duties required for employment at the company, and prevents the participant from being gainfully employed elsewhere.
