Public Securities Association Standard Prepayment Model (PSA Model)
Definition
A prepayment model created by the bond market association to predict mortgage loan repayment patterns. The PSA model assumes that the monthly loan repayment of a mortgage loan will increase as the loan gets older. Evidence however suggests that people are too financially burdened to increase their monthly repayment.
