Public-Private Investment Program for Legacy Assets (PPIPLA)

Definition

A program created to address the problem of bank legacy assets that reduces their ability attract investors and issue credits to customers at the rate required. PPIPLA helps banks to get rid of their legacy loans and sell these assets to investors, which acts as a system of risk and profit sharing between banks and investors.
