Definition

A credit offered by the Federal Reserve under the seasonal credit program. Often given to smaller financial institutions that do not have access to national money markets where they can obtain credit to fund their community focused transactions. Seasonal credit is also given to organizations during periods where there are insufficient funds to the meet their operating expenses to ensure that the company remains in business.
