single payment options trading (SPOT)

Definition

A type of option that allows an investor to specify two things: (1) the conditions that must be met for the investor to receive a payout, and (2) the size of the payout. A broker who sells this type of option charges a price based on these two variables. This type of option is often found in forex markets.
