super floater

Definition

A collateralize mortgage obligation whose coupon rate is not fixed, but floats according to a formula based on an index or interest rate, such as the LIBOR. The coupon rate is leveraged. Any change in the index creates a greater change in the coupon rate. There is a floor under the coupon rate to keep it from going negative.
