Definition

The major price index affecting the Austrian economy. The Austrian traded index is part of the Vienna Stock Exchange and is the main indicator for options and futures contracts. The index tracks the pricing of 20 blue chip stocks. When the index is reviewed (twice a year), as many as 3 blue chip companies may be removed and replaced.
