Definition

A final fee payable at the end of an auto lease if the lessee does not purchase the vehicle. The fee is used to cover some of the costs associated with inspecting, refurbishing, storing, transporting, and selling the vehicle. This turn-in fee may be waived by some dealerships if the customer leases another vehicle under similar terms.
