international standards organization (IOS)
Definition
A Swiss-based, non-governmental, international federation representing more than 160 countries in setting standards for trade, and promoting economic and intellectual cooperation among its members. Membership is broadly comprised of experts from all sectors of commerce, academia, consumer associations as well as representatives of government agencies.
