A form of credit reference used to verify the ability of a company to meet its current obligations. Credit reporting agencies compile information of a company's business activities including supplier contacts, trade terms, credit balances, past due balances, and payment history that can be used as a credit reference by suppliers, vendors, and prospective business partners.
