The external elements that exist outside of a company's control that can significantly impact its performance and ability to compete in its marketplace. Examples of macroenvironment elements are the economy, government policy-making, technology, social conditions, and nature. For companies with a global foot-print, their exposure to macro environment elements is magnified.
