Past information about a company, used to help forecast the company's future; for example, historical price, price/earnings ratio, revenues and revenue growth, earnings and earnings growth.

If an investor is nervous about investing in a company he can look at and analyze the historical data to become familiar with the company's business practices, successes, failures, and financial stability.
