white label product

Definition

A product that is manufactured by one company and sold to other companies which they then repackage as their own. This type of product is often manufactured through mass production. For example, a supermarket with a private label brand of laundry detergent may have purchased the product from an outside manufacturer and be selling it as a white label product.
