Definition
A market where trades do not occur continuously, but rather only at specified times. Orders are taken at one time, and buy and sell prices are then determined. Prices are set by the exchange, as opposed to being determined by the buying and selling activity. Call markets are not popular anymore, and are used mostly in situations where there is little trading volume. opposite of auction market.
