Definition
A specific subset of bond traders working at the New York Stock Exchange who are responsible for a large portion of the overall bond trading volume. Bond prices for traders in the active bond crowd tend to be better than the prices of more inactively traded bonds because the bid and ask spreads are narrower for these frequently traded bonds. opposite of cabinet crowd.
