Definition

The largest stock exchange in Australia. The ASE was founded in 1987. Its functions and operations have changed over time, and was transformed in 2006 when it became the product of the merger of the Sydney Futures Exchange (SFE) and the Australian Stock Exchange. A wide variety of securities are traded on this exchange.
