Definition
Cost of Funds Index. An index comprised of the average interest rates for Treasury bills and Treasury notes. It is released monthly by the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac), and is often used in the calculation of mortgage loans and mortgage securities.
