Fed. Reg. or FR . U.S. Government's official daily newspaper. Published Monday through Friday (except federal holidays) it disseminates "rules, proposed rules, and notices of Federal agencies and organizations, as well as executive orders and other presidential documents." It is available in ASCII, HTML, and PDF formats, through websites updated daily at six in the morning, and its printed version is distributed by the Government Printing Office. The federal register serves as the daily supplement to the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). Like most other government publications, its contents are in the public domain and can be freely copied.
