Kaffirs
Definition
Popular term for South African shares in general, and in particular South African gold-mining shares. Kaffirs are traded on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and London Stock Exchange (LSE), and on the U.S. stock exchanges as American Depositary Receipts (ADRs).
