large trader

Definition 1
A trader who holds a position that exceeds the reporting level set by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission or the exchange, and therefore must turn in daily trading reports detailing their trading activity.

Definition 2
A trader who conducts a large or above-average volume of trades.
