Definition

A publication issued by Bond Buyer's newspaper. The index is published daily, and tracks municipal bond prices. In order to be tracked by this publication, a bond must fit a variety of characteristics, such as having at least 19 years before it reaches maturity. Investors and traders use this information to analyze the market and predict future activity.
