Definition

A rating of how well advisory letters have performed. Performance is calculated by analyzing profits and losses that an investor would have received if they followed the newsletter's advice. The Hulbert Financial Digest, a service of Dow Jones Marketwatch, issues this rating. Performance is covered as far back as 1980 where data is available, and over 180 newsletters are covered.
