liquid position

Definition
The state where an investor's holdings can be easily sold or converted to cash. Oftentimes, this is because the holdings are in assets that are in high demand or have low risk. For example, if an investor's portfolio is comprised mostly of money market funds or government treasuries, these can be easily sold for cash, but tend to bear lower interest payments.
