mezzanine bracket
Definition
Group which includes members of an underwriting party whose participation in deals is enough to qualify them as the second-largest group of participants. The term is used to describe a secondary list of names included in a newspaper advertisement by investment bankers in a public offering of securities. Major underwriters will be listed as the first names and the names immediately following these individuals are considered to be part of the mezzanine bracket.
