National Stock Exchange (NSX)
Definition
Stock exchange located in Jersey City, New Jersey. National Stock Exchange was one of the first exchanges to switch over to conducting trades solely on an electronic platform. The exchange was established in 1885 and switched over to the electronic platform in 1980. NSX continues to be a leader in automated trading systems and has continued to improve its platform to meet the needs of consumers around the world. The exchange was formally stationed out of Cincinnati, OH and later moved to Chicago, IL before ending up in New Jersey.
