odd-lot dealer
Definition
A broker dealer that assembles odd lots of securities into round lots and then performs various transactions such as buy and sell orders in the round lots created. Sometimes the round lots that are created are later sold to other brokers. Odd-lot dealers are not as prevalent now because the New York Stock Exchange provides this type of action free of charge to registered members.
