other capital
Residual category in the balance of payments that groups additional capital transactions excluding those that have not been included in reserves, direct investment, or portfolio investment. Other capital is categorized based on the longevity of the capital (short-term vs. long-term). Other short-term capital includes items that can be quickly liquidated in a year or less such as deposits or bills.
