Definition
A graph of the price movements of a given security over a given time period, sometimes along with volume data. Charts are the main tool that technical analysts use in order to plot data and predict prices. Technical analysts may use several different types of charts in order to conduct their tests and look for patterns in the data, including line charts, bar charts, and candlestick charts.
