ultra-short-term bond fund

Definition

Mutual funds that typically invest in securities with short-term maturity dates (no greater than one year). Ultra-short-term bond funds may invest a large subset or securities and have the possibility to deliver higher yields, but the risk associated with them can be high because the net asset value of the fund does fluctuate.
