Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination
Definition
Examination required by most states that must be successfully passed by any individual seeking to obtain a Series 63 license. Some states may also require that an individual pass a Series 7 examination to become a registered member of FINRA (formally known as the NASD), and if a registered representative moves to another state, he or she may be required to take another exam to meet that state's requirement.
