Definition
A survey conducted by investment advisory firms to provide investors with a detail assessment of the securities. This survey evaluates a number of things to determine which securities will perform the best, which will perform the worst, and provides an overall projection of the possible performance of the securities over the course of the following year based on current market conditions. The survey also provides ratings for each security to show investors the volatility of a corporation's stock price behavior compared to the market average.
