whole loan
Definition
A mortgage loan sold to an investor in a secondary market. The investor purchasing the loan assumes full responsibility of the loan and all the contractual terms and rights associated with the funds. The original lender no longer has any rights to the loan after it has agreed to sale the loan to another party.
