What about exceptional supply curves?

Basically, the common graph is y is directly proportional to x. However, my friends said that there are some miraculous cases that the graph is different. Question is, what are those cases (with brief explanation)

    The exceptional demand violates the law of demand which states that the higher the price the lower the quantity demanded. In this case, quantity demanded for this type of commodity tends to be high when prices are high
