Do not forget to look into tax deductions and tax credits. While tax laws tend to vary little year after year, they still tend to change over time. If you are expecting to take the standard deductions, it would still be a good idea to consider the difference had you elected to take an itemized deduction. If you decide to itemize, keep all of your receipts in case you get audited.
