Colossal Mergers and Acquisitions

Be wary of large acquisitions. Many acquisitions are done by CEOs to feed their egos rather than to maximize shareholder value, and are encouraged by investment banks who stand to benefit from huge banking fees. Indeed, most acquisitions of large companies are harder and less lucrative than expected.
