Growth Companies and Dividend Increases

Since growth companies retain most of their earnings, slowly increasing earnings per share is to be expected, not something to be praised, since the company has more capital to work with. A more meaningful measure is return on equity, which is equal to operating earnings divided by shareholder's equity.
